Julie Mountain
Qualified in landscape design, Julie has specialised in supporting schools and early years settings so that they can make the most of the potential of outdoors for learning and play.

An experienced trainer and facilitator, Julie launched Play Learning Life in 2010 in order to focus on outdoor projects in and with schools, settings and families.
Felicity Robinson
Felicity is a landscape architect, author, trainer and educator with a wealth of expertise in working alongside Primary and Secondary schools and early years settings.

Felicity's work has included multi-site new build schools, local authority strategic planning and developing programmes to help reconnect children with the natural world.
Mary Jackson, CF
Mary's unique combination of qualifications and skills - she's a teacher as well as a landscape architect - has provided her with unrivalled school grounds expertise.

At Learning through Landscapes, Mary has been instrumental in developing its most innovative programmes, and she has worked in the UK, Europe, Asia and America.
Peter Carne OBE
Peter's varied career has taken in teaching, leading an environmental education centre, managing high value school grounds partnerships, and shaping government policy.

Peter continues to promote the value of learning outside the classroom and school residentials in a peripatetic advisory role, championing outdoor learning across the education sector.
Play Learning Life CIC is a social enterprise with a mission to promote the value of learning and playing outdoors, and to support the schools, early years settings and families that want to make the most of getting outdoors. Founded in 2010, PLL has been active around the UK and beyond, working with international organisations, supporting local authorities and sharing good practice wherever we find it.

In addition to our four Directors, we work alongside many skilled and experienced practitioners from around the globe, which means to we can 'scale up' our projects and bring in specialist expertise.

Phil Burton
Phil is working with Play Learning Life to deliver our three-year Erasmus+ programme, Pappus (Plants and Play Promoting Universal Skills). He bring specialist botanical and 'wildplay' expertise to our work.
An experienced ecologist with a passion for plants first and foremost, in Phil's professional life it has been his mission to help people of all ages to develop a warm feeling towards plants and the wonderful world they inhabit.
